Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nReview demand signals, MRP reports, and project requirements to place purchase orders for direct raw materials and components.\nMonitor and maintain open purchase orders, guaranteeing accurate delivery commitments and supplier performance.\nWork directly with suppliers regarding pricing, order status, product specifications, lead times, and delivery schedules.\nPartner with Engineering, Scheduling, Production, Project Management, Service, Accounts Payable, and other internal collaborators to resolve material-related questions and issues.\nMaintain accurate purchasing, supplier, pricing, and inventory data within Epicor and other business systems.\nReview inventory levels and adjust stock positions to support uninterrupted production and efficient inventory management.\nIdentify potential supply risks and collaborate with suppliers and Strategic Sourcing teams to implement solutions.\nResolve supplier issues including shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, invoice mismatches, and non-conforming materials.\nProvide access to material availability and communicate updates to cross-functional teams.\nAssist with continuous advancement initiatives concerning purchasing processes, inventory management, and supplier performance.\nUp to 10% occasional travel domestically to other nVent sites.\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred.\n3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, materials management, or a related field preferred.\nExperience working within an ERP system; Epicor experience is a plus.\nFamiliarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and processes.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize various tasks in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.\nStrong precision and the skill to process extensive data sets with accuracy.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, particularly through email and cross-functional collaboration.\nExperience interacting with suppliers, handling purchase orders, controlling inventory, and coordinating material planning.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.\nAbility to analyze data and use information to support purchasing decisions and material forecasting.\nExperience within manufacturing, electrical, building products, or industrial environments preferred.\nAPICS, CPM, CPSM, or other supply chain certifications preferred.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
