Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nFacilitate EHS objectives by providing clear and continuous direction.\nMaintain strong shop floor presence and be considered a key point of contact for safety, health and environmental related inquiries.\nApply proactive safety methodology and deploy improvements as needed.\nMonitor applicable EHS regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts; provide operations leadership information as appropriate.\nManage environmental processes to ensure nVent and regulatory requirements are met in relation to waste management, water discharge & air permitting obligations.\nCoordinate and engage plant personnel and other personnel in the identification, development and implementation of EHS goals which will positively impact and contribute to the organization.\nManage EHS documents, vendor contract and permit administration.\nAssist with workers compensation cases, working with human resources and legal teams.\nFacilitate the incident reporting process and participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis.\nFacilitate required EHS training to ensure all regulatory and company obligations are met.\nIdentify needed support from outside consultants, develop scope of work and manage issuance of contracts or permits as needed.\nCoordinate behavior based safety and ergonomic improvement activities.\nYOU HAVE:\nAcademic background in Industrial Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental. Experience may be substituted.\n7+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems and processes preferred.\nPrevious experience working in a manufacturing setting.\nStrong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and the ability to apply such in the manufacturing setting.\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills with knowledge of Lean methodologies.\nAbility to influence prioritization of activities to maintain compliance.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
