This role requires strong investigative and communication skills to research account issues, evaluate supporting documentation, partner with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely resolution of customer deductions and disputes.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nHandle customer deductions, disputes, cost recoveries, and documentation requests for more complex accounts, ensuring timely resolution and clear, professional communication with customers and distributors.\n\nApply customer payments and perform cash application activities with a high level of accuracy, including matching payments, recording deductions, and ensuring compliant AR postings across multiple payment methods.\n\nReconcile bank statements to ERP and general ledger accounts, investigating variances and resolving discrepancies in partnership with Finance and GL teams.\n\nTake ownership of specific customer issues, serving as a point of escalation and providing appropriate, timely solutions to support customer satisfaction and cash flow objectives.\n\nReview, analyze, and resolve deduction and cost recovery issues, evaluating disputes based on order details, product circumstances, pricing agreements, and policy requirements.\n\nCoordinate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Credit to ensure claims and disputes are thoroughly reviewed and resolved prior to settlement.\n\nSupport and mentor newer team members, providing guidance on complex accounts, deductions, and processes to ensure timely and accurate resolution.\n\nPrepare AR reports to support month-end close, including aging, revenue status, deductions, targets, and ad-hoc analyses for month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and audit requirements.\n\nParticipate in operational improvement and automation initiatives within the Transactional Services teams to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.\n\nContribute to acquisition integration activities, supporting the alignment of AR processes, customer data, and controls for newly acquired entities.\n\nMaintain compliance with nVent policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations, while supporting audits and internal control requirements.\n\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.\n\n1+ year of experience in Finance or Accounting, preferably in Accounts Receivable, Cost Recovery, Deductions Management, Credit Management, Collections, Cash Application, or Customer Support.\n\nExperience researching and resolving customer deductions, account discrepancies, reconciliations, or other complex AR issues.\n\nFluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of investigating discrepancies, evaluating supporting documentation, and identifying appropriate resolutions.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, COUNTIF, and data analysis techniques).\n\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing customer accounts and financial data.\n\nProactive approach with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, work independently, and meet deadlines.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve account-related issues and disputes.\n\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
