The role carries regional responsibility with active contribution to global category teams and international sourcing projects.\nInitial commodity focus:\nConnectors\nPCB’s\nPCBA’s\nActive Components\nPassive Components \n(Further commodity expansion possible over time)\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nAnalyze and monitor international supply markets, including supplier, technology, cost, and risk developments\nDevelop and implement regional category strategies aligned with global sourcing initiatives\nSelect, evaluate, and develop suppliers, including implementation of second-source strategies\nIndependently prepare and conduct price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations with national and international suppliers\nDrive cost management initiatives and identify sustainable cost reduction opportunities\nManage supply risks and bottlenecks for assigned product groups\nWork closely with Engineering and Operations on technical clarifications, supplier decisions, and cross-functional projects\nContribute to global sourcing projects and cross-regional procurement initiatives\n Support and accompany supplier audits (quality, processes, performance)\nYOU HAVE:\nProcurement & Category Management:Several years of experience in strategic or technical procurement, ideally within Electrical / Electronics\nExperience at Professional or Senior Category Leader level\nStrong background in supplier selection and development, price and contract negotiations, cost and value analysis, and international supplier management\n\nTechnical Competence:Ability to read, understand, and evaluate BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications\nProven experience working closely with Engineering and technical departments\n\nConfidence in technical discussions with suppliers, supported by Engineering\nIndustry Exposure:Experience in multiple of the following industries is an advantage: Industrial, Railway, Data Center, Telecom, MedTech, Automotive.\n\nNegotiation & Stakeholder Management:Independent handling of international supplier negotiations\nConfident interaction with internal and external stakeholders\nAbility to moderate between different interests while remaining assertive and result-oriented\nClose cooperation especially with Engineering and Operations / Supply Chain\n\nLanguage Skills:English & Polish: fluent and negotiation level (mandatory)\nGerman: desirable, especially for collaboration with smaller suppliers\nAdditional languages are a plus\n\nEducation & Qualifications:No strict formal education requirement\nSuitable backgrounds include technical or commercial education with strong procurement experience, or a university degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration)\nPractical experience and competence are more important than formal qualifications\n\nPersonal Profile:Strong analytical and structured working style\nHigh level of ownership and hands-on mentality\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills\nAbility to bridge technical and commercial topics\nStrong team player in an international environment\nWillingness to travel approximately 20% (mandatory)\nERP knowledge: M3 / SAP\n\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
