nVent is an electrical connection and protection company spun out of Pentair in 2018 that makes enclosures, thermal management, cable management and connection products for industrial, commercial and data centre customers. Its most consequential business has become thermal management for data centres: liquid cooling for high-density computing racks, where artificial intelligence accelerators generate more heat per rack than air can remove. Headquartered in London for tax and legal purposes with operations centred in Minnesota, it is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has been reshaping its portfolio around electrification and data centre demand.

We’re looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success - and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this role, you will take ownership of complex customer accounts and play an important part in strengthening cash flow, managing credit risk, and delivering a positive customer experience. You will partner across the organization, solve challenging account issues, and contribute to continuous improvement within the Credit & Collections function.

  • Lead large, sophisticated, and high-risk customer accounts, serving as a primary point of contact to resolve account issues, fulfill documentation requests, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Engage directly with customers to resolve past-due invoices, ensuring collections are completed in accordance with contractual payment terms and proactively addressing delinquency through regular aging reviews and follow-up, including customer portals.
  • Review and disposition credit hold orders, partnering with internal collaborators to assess risk, support timely order release decisions, and protect company credit exposure.
  • Provide mentorship and expertise to team members on complex accounts, sharing effective approaches and supporting resolution of advanced or non-standard credit and collections issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and other business teams to resolve customer delinquency issues and support effective account management.
  • Prepare and analyze reporting related to current revenue, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, discounts, and collections performance, and distribute standard and ad-hoc reports to business partners and management.
  • Participate in and lead initiatives for operational improvement to enhance credit and collections workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen controls.
  • Contribute to acquisition integration planning and execution, supporting the alignment of credit, collections, and customer account processes for newly acquired entities.
  • Ensure compliance with nVent policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations, while supporting month-end close activities, audits, and internal control requirements.
  • Apply a practical approach to problem-solving, focusing on outcomes, continuous improvement, and effective risk management.

YOU HAVE:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance (Accounting preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit & Collections or related areas such as Credit Management, Customer Support, or Collections.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, and COUNT functions).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing customer accounts and financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal partners.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes to shared goals and continuous improvement.
