Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nThis shift is currently 2:30 PM - 11PM, Monday - Friday.\nStarting Q1 the shift will change to a Monday - Thursday 3:30 PM - 2AM. \nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nOwn the day-to-day production activities within Distribution Center\nSupervise daily performance through the use of process center communication boards\nLead a team of warehouse employees assigned to the DC area including hiring, training, developing, leading performance, time and attendance, and handling progressive discipline.\nAssist with the development of current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans, as well as the implementation of those plans\nSupport new process and product development and implementation\nAct as a change agent and drive out waste throughout the Logistics operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology\nDrive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work\nAssure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent’s safety programs\nYOU HAVE:\nIdeally 5+ years' distribution experience.\nIdeally demonstrated ability in a leadership role.\nDemonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.\nStrong systems knowledge with JDE, AS400 or Oracle is helpful\nAbilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:Work in an office and warehouse environment\nBend, squat down, and reach above your head\nClimb stairs and ladders\nLift and carry up to 50 pounds\n\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
