Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nPosition Summary\nTo perform all functions necessary to fabricate electrical / electronic enclosures.\nKey Role Responsibilities\nBe willing and able to learn, teach and interact with all functions necessary to support fabrication team, unit and company objectives.\n\nParticipate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.\n\nComply with all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource.\n\nMaintain a clean, safe and organized work area.\n\nNotify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.\n\nPerform set-up duties in accordance with production documentation (SOP / MOPs).\n\nPosition production materials and tooling and maintain proper dimensions according to print specifications.\n\nPerform operation in accordance with production documentation.\n\nSelect and move production materials as required.\n\nMaintain production equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.\n\nMeet established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.\n\nEnsure that products and systems meet nVent’s quality specifications.\n\nPerform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balance through use of the computer.\n\nPerform rotational assignments including grinding, forming (press brake), welding and spotwelding and other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED Preferred\n\nMin. 1 year manufacturing fabrication experience\n\nKnowledge in manufacturing practices\n\nKnowledge in metal fabrication\n\nSkill to utilize the following machines and tools:\n\nVarious welding equipment\n\nResistance spot welders, Tig spot guns, stud welding equipment\n\nPress brake, NC controller\n\nMaterial handling equipment: pallet jack, lift tables, wheeled carts, etc.\n\nSafety equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, etc.\n\nPay Transparency\nnVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
