Use computerized manufacturing technologies to lead and guide the initial phase of the fabrication process.\nMAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:\nUses computerized manufacturing technologies or related systems to meet production and customer requirements.\n\nPerforms set-up duties on fabrication equipment and the safety devices in accordance with production documentation.\n\nPositions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications.\n\nOperates and adjusts various equipment, including controllers, and edits programs according to production documentation.\n\nMeets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.\n\nComplies with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource.\n\nEnsures that products and systems meet Hoffman quality standards.\n\nInspects work to ensure proper dimensional requirements are met per prints.\n\nPerforms specified preventative maintenance procedures and assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems.\n\nTakes action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc.\n\nParticipates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.\n\nMaintains a clean, safe and organized work area.\n\nMay be required to perform additional duties as assigned.\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.\n\n1 year of CNC manufacturing equipment experience preferred.\n\n3+ years production work experience preferred.\n\nComputer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and Radan.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required.\n\nKnowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.\n\nSkill in analytical thinking and problem solving.\n\nSkill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications\n\nAbility to read and understand blueprints.\n\nFork truck licensed or ability to obtain one.\n\nAbility to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material.\n\nAbility to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper)\n\nAbility to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.\n\nAbility to sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.\n\nAbility to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.\n\nAbility to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.\n\nPay Transparency\nnVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
