This is an outstanding opportunity to work on world-class projects, collaborate with an ambitious team, and successfully develop solutions that make a tangible impact.\nBuild product designs and comprehensive documentation for new and existing products, ensuring flawless execution of layouts, 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and other essential documents for manufacturing\n\nManage both small-scale and portions of large-scale projects with minimal supervision\n\nIndependently develop detailed product layouts for various build aspects\n\nBuild components and assemblies using advanced 3D CAD systems\n\nGuide and aid in the fabrication of components and assemblies for prototypes and pilot builds\n\nParticipate in Lean activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness\n\nAssist in developing engineering, drafting, and release standards\n\nPerform tolerance stack analysis on complex assemblies and drawings before documentation release\n\nEngage in the product development process, including building brainstorming and customer feedback activities\n\nInitiate and prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and develop BOMs\n\nConduct research to gather complete specifications, ensuring documentation accuracy\n\nComplete required calculations to verify dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications with minimal oversight\n\nProvide technical expertise in tools such as SolidWorks and Enovia\n\nAssess and approximate incoming engineering work, delegating tasks to Designer Associates as necessary\n\nDeliver leadership, task direction, and technical support to Designer Associates\n\nAssume a documentation leadership role with some degree of supervision\n\nYOU HAVE:\nA two-year technical degree in drafting or building preferred\n\nIdeally 3+ years of experience in mechanical drafting/build, preferred\n\nKnowledge of drafting standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes, preferred\n\nProficiency in Product Data Management, ECO, and Product Development Processes, preferred\n\nExperience in mechanical design and managing the fabrication of components and assemblies, preferred\n\nExperience with Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Enovia, Oracle, and JD Edwards, preferred\n\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred\n\nAbility to independently identify and define materials and information needed for projects\n\nCapability to assemble engineered build packages\n\nDemonstrated attention to detail and accuracy\n\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
