Our solutions are rigorously tested, globally trusted, and built to scale-so customers can focus on what matters most.\nWhen it counts, we deliver cool results with ingenuity, precision, and integrity-and we’re looking for people who want to do the same.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nDirectly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.\nLook after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.\nHandle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.\nBe a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.\nEnsure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs.\nReview and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.\nSupport new process and product development and implementation.\nDevelops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.\nYOU HAVE:\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D\nBA Degree is a plus\nIdeally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred\nIdeally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
