Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nCoordinate production activities on second shift to ensure production targets are met.\nSupervise production employees to ensure proper training, safe work habits, quality, and efficiency.\nPerform performance reviews, development discussions, and corrective actions as appropriate.\nEnsure compliance with company policies and legal requirements regarding workplace safety, product quality, timekeeping procedures, etc.\nEnsure necessary materials are on hand for upcoming jobs\nConfer with the appropriate personnel to resolve issues affecting production schedules and/or costs.\nWork with Shipping and Project Management to confirm customer shipping requirements and ensure all items to be shipped are accounted for\nPerform hands-on activities as needed to assist area personnel and/or to ensure product flow.\nAssist in monitoring inventory.\nLead or participate in special projects involving production functions and personnel.\nYOU HAVE:\n2+ years of demonstrated leadership ability, preferably in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.\nStrong planning and organization skills, and understanding of manufacturing processes and considerations.\nGood computer skills.\nAble to read prints and tape measurements to 1/16”.\nAble to work second shift after initial training period.\nAble to spend 2/3 of each 8-10 hour shift walking and standing in a non-air-conditioned production environment.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
