WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Apply specialized knowledge (e.g.,structural analysis,DFM, DFA, etc.) to size and select components and ensureproduct/process design.

  • Work with cross-functional teams that launch products by taking market specifications from design to prototypeandproduction. This can also cover both branded platform products and products engineered for specific customerapplications.

  • Work closely withEngineering Leadto partner with customers, engage in industrypartnerships, andestablishother relationships enabling us to advance our product and technology reach.

  • Participate and leadcross-functionalproduct development teams.

  • Coordinate andmaintaincomplex development schedules.

  • Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., FEA, FMEA) tovalidateproduct performance and reliability.

  • Direct outside activities such as regulatory or otherthird-partytesting.

  • Collaborate across design and engineering teams tooptimizemanufacturability and meet industry/customer standards.

  • Support manufacturing improvements by working with and help develop internal fabrication, assembly, and test departments, as well as external suppliers.

  • Leadlocalproduct development from concept to production, including prototyping and coordination.

  • Manage the criticalissues ofmeeting with engineering and cross-functional teams.

  • Oversee testing protocols, external certifications, and mentor junior engineers while knowing the latest with industry advancements.

  • Lead and coordinatelocalNPD,NPI,Sustaining& Design for Customization inDSprojects.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree engineering required. Mechanicalengineeringis preferred.

  • Ideally5+yearsof relevant experience inmechanical designandproject management.

  • Bilingual, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish isrequired.

  • Experience with Data Center cabinets and environmental.

  • Ability to design components and assemblies using 3D CAD system SolidWorksor similar.

  • Knowledge ofCADSimulation Analysis tools such asFEA, etc.

  • In depth knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes such as rapidprototyping.

  • In depth knowledge on GD&T, application and reading.

  • Knowledge in Mechanical& Materialpropertiesrelated to design.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in complex sheet metal designandmetallurgic process.

  • Experience in design and failure analysis tools such as DFMEA, DFM,RCCMetc.

  • Strong knowledge inengineeringdrawing standards and specifications.
