We have both 1st and 2nd shift positions available.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAssemble electrical and electromechanical systems, frameworks, and enclosures employed in switchgear manufacturing.\nPerform point-to-point wiring between components following wiring prints, schematic diagrams, specification sheets, and Bills of Material (BOM).\nMeasure, cut, route, label, and terminate wire to specified lengths and standards.\nInstall and connect electrical components such as terminal blocks, breakers, relays, control devices, and bus components.\nReview and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify materials and assembly instructions.\nAdjust, repair, or replace electrical components to resolve defects and ensure conformance to specifications.\nIdentify, mark, and tag parts and assemblies for tracking, quality, and inventory purposes.\nPrepare finished products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and minor touch-up work.\nAssist with loading or movement of completed assemblies when required.\nMaintain tools, equipment, and workstations in accurate working condition.\nPerform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nFollow all safety policies and procedures, attend safety meetings, and accurately use required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nSupport continuous improvement efforts and maintain quality and efficiency expectations.\nQualifications\nAcademic Background and Professional Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience, preferred.\nPrior experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or manufacturing preferred but not required.\nComparable mix of education and experience may be taken into account.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExperience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, wire cutters, and tape measures.\nAbility to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions is preferred.\nGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with small parts and wiring.\nAbility to follow detailed procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nBasic problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.\nProficiency Expectations\nCompletes assigned tasks on time and meets efficiency expectations.\nFollows established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.\nMaintains regular and reliable attendance.\nDemonstrates teamwork, accountability, and a positive attitude.\nCommunicates effectively with supervisors and team members.\nPhysical and Work Environment Requirements\nAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.\nAbility to lift, push, or pull materials in accordance with job requirements.\nWork is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, electrical equipment, and moving machinery.\nPosition classified as Medium Work, requiring exertion within defined weight limits.\nnVent Values\nAt nVent, we succeed by living our values every day.
