Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nLead a team of electrical engineers responsible for designing control systems for a diverse portfolio of cooling solutions serving data center markets.\nLead and supervise engineering personnel and external engineering partners throughout all design and build phases to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.\nCoordinate and balance workloads across internal and external resources to complete scheduled engineering activities.\nDevelop, motivate, and support a high-performing team that consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations.\nCoordinate and review project design decisions with staff engineers and management.\nMonitor and manage budgets, schedules, and control system designs for customer-ordered and internally developed products.\nEstablish and maintain development schedules, test specifications, and validation protocols.\nOversee prototyping and testing activities.\nDirect external activities, including regulatory and third-party testing.\nMaintain customer engagement through meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.\nPartner closely with process development and tooling teams to provide required engineering support.\nPromote best practices to strengthen staff technical depth, ensure responsive operational support, and enable continuous process improvement.\nFoster a collaborative team environment through open communication, proactive problem identification, and effective resolution.\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.\nIdeally 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a focus on developing and deploying embedded control systems.\nStrong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing teams, ideally including coordination with remotely located partners.\nExperience specifying, developing, maintaining, and managing the deployment of embedded control systems, including controller design, component selection, programming, display system integration, testing, and commissioning.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to coordinate team activities, negotiate requirements, and remain flexible to accommodate changes in scope and direction.\nAbility to travel regularly as required, up to 15%.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.\nCompensation Range:\n$105,000.00 - $195,000.00Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.\nBenefit Overview\nAt nVent, we value our people and their health and well-being.
