You will follow blueprints and work instructions, verify dimensions, and help meet quality, safety, and productivity requirements.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nGrind, drill, bend, punch, roll, cut, saw, route, and sand metal surfaces using hand and power tools.\nAssist in the fabrication and assembly of standard and custom metal components.\nRead and interpret basic blueprints, work instructions, and production documents.\nMeasure materials using standard measuring devices and verify dimensions.\nSupport production activities to meet quality, safety, and productivity requirements.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with nVent safety standards and 5S principles.\nPerform material handling activities using approved equipment and methods.\nReport equipment, quality, and safety concerns to leadership.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.\nYOU HAVE:\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.\nPrevious manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience preferred.\nExperience using hand and power tools is beneficial.\nBasic blueprint reading and interpretation.\nAbility to accurately read a tape measure, including inch and metric measurements.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team.\nStrong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.\nFrequent use of hands and arms to perform fabrication tasks.\nAbility to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to safely perform repetitive motions.\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to inspect product quality.\nnVent is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
