This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with facility inspections, preventive maintenance, safety training, work order coordination, and continuous improvement projects, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in facilities, maintenance, or safety.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nConducting facility, production area, and safety inspections while helping identify and resolve safety and maintenance concerns.\nSupporting preventive maintenance, building repairs, fire and life-safety activities, facility improvement projects, and maintenance documentation.\nAssist with employee safety training, safety recordkeeping, compliance activities, and tracking corrective actions through computer-based systems\nAssist with monitoring building conditions and identifying maintenance or repair needs.\nCoordinate with maintenance personnel and outside contractors as needed.\nEnsure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and maintained.\nHelp maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and facility enhancement projects.\nAssist with facility inspections and follow up on identified maintenance needs.\nPerform other job duties as assigned\nYOU HAVE:\nA high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills, with the ability to learn safety, maintenance, and facility management systems\nBasic computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize safety management, training, maintenance, and other computer-based programs. \nAbility to organize and maintain safety and facility records. \nStrong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills, along with a safety-focused mindset and willingness to work in a hands-on environment.\nExperience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.\nTeam members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.\n Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.\nThis position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.\n Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.\nWork is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures. nVent is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
