Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nYou will be part of the global Cybersecurity team and your main focus will be Security Operations and Incident Response.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nCybersecurity Detection Engineering\nDesign, test and deploy detections in support of the monitoring and alerting on potential cybersecurity threats \nAdjust existing detections to minimize false positives while avoiding false negatives\nFind chances to improve detection capabilities and translate those chances into action\nAlign detection capabilities to organizational risk tolerance\nCybersecurity Incident Response\nTake ownership of assigned cybersecurity events ensuring complete and accurate triage, containment and remediation action\nPartner with collaborators across digital and business operations to drive response actions and restore normal operations \nIdentify cybersecurity incident root cause and recommend remediation actions to prevent recurrence \nCreate and maintain complete and accurate documentation of assigned cybersecurity event investigation from initial detection through closure including root cause identification, business impact, response actions, final disposition and event classification\nProvide after-hours or on-call incident support as required Readiness and Continuous Improvement\nMonitor threat intelligence, attacker techniques and industry trends to maintain awareness of relevant and emerging cyber threats\nParticipate in tabletop exercises, training and post incident review to strengthen preparedness across the team and the organization\nMentor junior analysts and actively contribute to the team knowledge base and operational maturity\nRecommend improvements to operational processes and documentation\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Compute Science, Information Technology or related field\n8 years of experience in cybersecurity incident response in a global organization\nExperience in detection design and development\nExperience developing and improving cybersecurity playbooks\nPrevious experience with o Endpoint Detection and Response solutions o Security Information Event Management solutions o Forensic investigations and evidence handling o Cloud computing platforms\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
