Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nThis is a Temp to Hire position, based off 30, 60, 90 training.\nPerform all assigned maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and with a high level of professionalism.\nContinuously develop technical skills and expand knowledge of manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes.\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and plumbing systems.\nIdentify equipment issues, determine appropriate corrective actions, and complete repairs by replacing, repairing, or fabricating components as needed.\nDisassemble, rebuild, test, and adjust equipment to restore optimal performance and reliability.\nOperate machine tools and perform bench work to fabricate replacement parts and restore worn or damaged components.\nPerform welding and metal fabrication tasks, including repairing or constructing guards, stands, racks, bins, and other shop equipment.\nExecute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.\nAccurately report equipment deficiencies, safety concerns, and unusual operating conditions to leadership.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while complying with all company safety policies and procedures.\nProperly set up and operate tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.\nSupport production demands by working scheduled hours and overtime as needed.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned to meet business and production objectives.\nYOU HAVE:\nAcademic background:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nTrade school certificate in maintenance or machine repair preferred.\nPrevious experience:\n3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance.\nSkills:\nBasic reading, writing, and math skills.\nComputer skills including data entry and retrieval (Microsoft Outlook).\nBlueprint reading skills.\nDigital or analog volt/amp/ohm meter operation skills.\nMeasuring tool skills (Dial indicators, Micrometer, and Caliber).\nAbilities to meet the physical and environmental demands: manufacturing plant\nAbility to lift 50 pounds.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
