Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nPRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:\nTo perform both electrical and mechanical work involving installation, maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.\nTo maintain, install, and repair production and facility equipment. Construct and install, support equipment to production areas.\nMAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:\nPerform and record preventive maintenance as defined on all production equipment.\nRepair and maintain all production equipment as required.\nMaintain an adequate supply of spare parts for repairs and PMs.\nMove, anchor, and align production machines as requested.\nObserves all applicable safety rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor.\nNotify maintenance supervisors, department leader, and value stream mangers when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials etc.\nInstall and maintain electrical equipment that are an integral part of production machines and plant equipment.\nDiagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties and implement repairs and adjustments on machines.\nMake emergency repairs when necessary to limit excessive downtime and production delays.\nMake periodic preventative maintenance checks and lubricate all production machinery.\nBuild equipment parts and experimental machines to work order specifications as required.\nCoordinate material requisitions needed for each project.\nTest circuits with testing equipment and report finding to others for diagnosis.\nPerforms related duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school diploma or GED\n2+ years mechanical maintenance experience\nExperience in manufacturing environment\nExperience in using computers and computer applications\nNo corrective actions or performance improvement plans within six (6) months of the job posting opening date\nNo decision making leaves within 12 months of the job posting opening date\nMost recent performance rating of 4.0 or greater\nSuccessfully completed six (6) months in current job bid classification OR current career advancement classification.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:\nBasic knowledge of business processes.\nMechanical skills, welding skills (stick and wire feed), print reading, etc.\nSkills in attention to detail and accuracy.\nSkills with written and verbal communication.\nSkills in using drill press, torches, hand tools, cut off saw, iron worker, etc.\nAbility to obtain forklift and company Vehicle Driver’s licenses.\nAbility to lift 50lbs overhead\nSchedule: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off Hours: 7:45 PM - 6:15 AM\nRange of pay based on experience from $26.00-$32.00 + shift pay\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
