Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nPerform shipping, receiving, storage, picking, checking, and loading duties following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as well as Machine Operating Procedures (MOP).\nPerform transactions to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.\nOperates various warehouse equipment, such as sit-down forklift, stock picker, and RF scanners.\nMaintains equipment, including conducting routine inspections.\nConduct or lead the physical count of each product and/or location as needed, to fulfill cycle count program requirements, including inventory checks when required.\nGenerate cycle count lists of daily material counts for Warwick, RI.\nAnalyze each discrepancy at the time of counting to identify root causes of errors and develop/recommend corrective actions.\nDouble-check all counts with variance greater than 10% quantity/dollar value, and research and resolve cause of inaccurate inventories.\nEnter data into JD Edwards system to update the inventory records in the computer.\nUpdate daily metrics.\nAssist in the training of staff in the methods of cycle counting and act as a change agent, driving inventory accuracy throughout the manufacturing operations.\nDrive continuous improvement by involving employees in problem solving and decision making, as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.\nComplete daily activities in a timely, legible, and accurate fashion.\nYOU HAVE:\n3-5 years of solid performance in manufacturing materials positions.\nForklift experience is required, including but not limited to sit-down, stock picker, turret, and walkie lifts.\nKnowledge of all material flow processes.\nKnowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.\nSkill in analytical thinking and problem solving.\nAbility to move about within the facility in the facilitation of work teams, problem solving, and communicating clearly both verbally and in writing with employees and management.\nAbility to achieve high productivity through reliable and punctual attendance.\nAbility to identify and support continuous improvement.\nAbility to adapt and maintain a positive and respectful demeanor while working in a fast paced and evolving environment.\nSkills in operating a computer, specifically the Windows platform, Word and Excel, JD Edwards, and the Internet.\nAdditional Requirements:\n§ Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR-controlled site.
