You’ll join a collaborative plant environment with a “one team” mindset, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Manufacturing to improve how the facility operates.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nOwn meaningful engineering projects that improve safety, quality, equipment reliability, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.\nDesign, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes.\nWork directly with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Manufacturing to solve problems and support the day-to-day needs of the plant.\nUse equipment and reliability data to identify the root causes of downtime and put sustainable solutions in place.\nProvide hands-on engineering support for complex mechanical equipment and manufacturing process issues.\nLead capital equipment projects from concept through startup, including equipment specifications, vendor coordination, procurement, installation, and implementation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve ergonomics, safety, throughput, product quality, equipment reliability, and operating costs.\nHelp drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and plant performance.\nUse Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methods to support Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash (SQDCC) goals.\nDevelop engineering standards, procedures, and documentation that help sustain improvements over the long term.\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline preferred.\n2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nExperience supporting manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, maintenance, or continuous improvement initiatives.\nExperience leading or supporting equipment upgrades, capital projects, and process improvements.\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, or similar problem-solving tools.\nExperience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools preferred.\nA hands-on approach to problem solving and an interest in working closely with production and maintenance teams.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
