Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHATYOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nReference print to confirm number of sheets to be rolled and radius to be used.\nAdjust settings on the plate roll machine for the correct radius and material thickness.\nLoad sheets of aluminum into the machine using a vacuum lifter and roller table.\nOperate machine using joystick-style hand controls (toggle switches).\nStop machine upon completion of roll; check rolled aluminum to verify roundness, correct radius, and alignment of ends.\nFor completely rolled (cylindrical) pieces, tack weld ends together to hold the cylinder shape.\nUpon completion, remove piece from plate roll machine by hand (smaller pieces) or using overhead crane (larger pieces)\nCheck for piece for identification number (if not already marked, stencil on) and move piece to the designated staging area\nKeep count of the number of pieces rolled and submit to Team Lead daily.\nPerform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep work area clear of scrap and debris\nUse plate roll machine, MIG welding machine, stencil, tape measure, ratcheting strap, hammer, overhead crane, radius-check templates.\nYOU HAVE:\nAble to read tape measure to 1/16th; basic print reading skills\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nAble to effectively prioritize work based on production schedules and changing needs.\nAble to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members\nAble to achieve forklift certification and safely operate a forklift\nAble to manually lift items up to 40 lbs. and spend most of the shift standing in a non-airconditioned environment\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
