Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nThis role is an overnight position, 7 pm- 5:30 am, on-site in Millington, Maryland.\nIn this position, you MUST be able to train for 1 month on the first shift, 7 am - 330pm.\nWhat you will experience in this position:\nSet up and run brake press machinery, including choosing tooling and adjusting programs.\nInterpret blueprints, schematics, and job routings to determine machine settings and production requirements.\nPerform trial runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and part consistency.\nConduct in-process inspections, verifying parts meet tolerances and quality standards.\nFollow safety protocols, maintain clean work areas, and perform minor maintenance.\nMeet daily production targets for accuracy, speed, and quality while minimizing waste.\nYou have:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus.\n2-5 years of experience working with brake press machinery in a manufacturing setting.\nProficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop math required.\nProficiency with precision measuring instruments, including protractors, calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges, is required. Candidates must be able to accurately read measurements to 1/32 of an inch.\nPrevious knowledge of the construction industry is highly preferred.\nAbility to drive a forklift preferred.\nExperience with CNC/programmed brake press equipment preferred.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles or 5S is advantageous.\nBasic computer skills for entering production or quality data.\nTeam members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.\nRoles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.\nThis position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.\nEmployees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.\nWork is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures. nVent is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
