Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nIn this position, you will be:\nDesigning, developing, reviewing and maintaining the embedded software products.\nEmbedded Software Development - Design, code, test and maintain embedded software/ firmware for next generation of electrical connected products.\n\nDevelop low level drivers and collaborate with hardware components.\n\nSystem Integration - Integrate software/firmware with hardware components, sensors and peripherals.\n\nEnsure optimal performance, reliability and resource utilization.\n\nCommunication Protocols: Implement and optimize communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus or wireless technologies.\n\nFix software and hardware issues.\n\nTesting and Debugging: Develop and implement test plans to verify and validate embedded systems.\n\nOptimization and Performance tuning: Optimize code and algorithms for memory and processing efficiency.\n\nImprove system performance and response times.\n\nDocumentation - Develop and uphold a range of documentation, such as code comments, user guides, and design materials.\n\nSecurity and Safety considerations - Implement security features and adhere to safety standards relevant to industry\n\nCollaboration - Collaborate with cross - functional teams including hardware engineers, quality assurance, product managers and solution architects.\n\nParticipate in design reviews and project meetings.\n\nExperience with the use of JTAG debugging, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other debugging techniques.\n\nExperience with software tools such as repository management (Git/Subversion), Jira, static analysis, etc.\n\nContinuous learning - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in embedded development.\n\nYOU HAVE:\nAcademic background in Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electronics Or Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\n\n15+ years of Embedded firmware/software development experience in Embedded C,C++,RTOS or Linux based development experience.\n\nFamiliarity with multi-threading concepts.\n\nGood knowledge of coding standards.\n\nExperience working with team of engineers using Agile methodologies.\n\nGood analytical, problem solving skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nSkills\nProficiency in Embedded C programming\n\nExperience with Linux based OS, RTOS\n\nFamiliarity with microcontrollers (8-bit, 16-bit) and collaborating with the peripherals.\n\nGood to have knowledge of Communication Protocols - HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, BACnet, Modbus/TCP.\n\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
