Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nCreate, review, and release manufacturing and/or purchase orders in a timely manner; expedite, cancel, defer as needed.\nPlan and publish an executable, frozen five day production schedule that meets customer demand and stocking levels.\nCoordinate Raw Materials and components to support schedule.\nMaintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliverables to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.\nDevelop expertise in using the ERP system and play a key role in the implementation of the new ERP system.\nAssist with SKU creation and management, including establishing stock status, and safety stock levels as applicable.\nNotify and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise in regards to equipment, materials, inventory, documentation, invoice discrepancies, raw materials replenishment, delivery or quality performance.\nEscalate and keep operations and management informed of critical situations.\nEnsure prompt disposition of any non-conformances to minimize impact to the schedule.\nCommunicate lead times and respond to inquiries on customer orders and quotes; ensure responses are communicated promptly and professionally.\nDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of assigned parts & processes.\nParticipate actively in lean initiatives, team activities and continuous improvement projects.\nPerforms rotational assignments as needed and other responsibilities and/or duties as apparent or assigned.\nPartner with Finance and Operations to complete physical inventories.\nYOU HAVE:\nBachelors Degree in Supply Chain is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.\n1-3 years of previous experience in production planning, supply chain or manufacturing is preferred.\nKnowledge of MRP and material flow processes.\nAnalytical thinking and problem solving.\nAbility to adapt rapidly to changes and function in a high stress, high pressure environment with a positive attitude.\nProficient use with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows, PowerPoint.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
