This position supports manufacturing quality initiatives through inspection, testing, process monitoring, and continuous improvement activities.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nPerform receiving, in-process, and final product inspections and testing to verify quality requirements.\nUtilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to validate dimensional and functional specifications.\nParticipate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities supporting product and manufacturing processes.\nMonitor production processes and products to ensure quality standards are maintained.\nSupport containment activities and assist in processing non-conforming products through resolution and closure.\nConduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and document inspection results.\nCollaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, and Logistics teams to address quality concerns.\nSupport process audits, calibration activities, safety initiatives, and other duties as assigned.\nYOU HAVE:\nHigh school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.\n2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\n2+ years of experience using measurement tools and inspection techniques preferred.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing or fabrication experience.\nExperience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) preferred.\nAbility to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, DFT gauges, and go/no-go gauges.\nAbility to read blueprints, work instructions, procedures, and complete required documentation.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nBasic math and geometry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to operate hand tools and test equipment\nTeam members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.\n Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.\nThis position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.\n Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.\nWork is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures. nVent is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
