This role demands a meticulous eye for detail, a strong understanding of industry standards, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. By joining us as a Quality Technician, you will be part of a dynamic environment that values precision, continuous improvement, and dedication to quality.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nFacilitate problem solving activities for both product and manufacturing processes.\nPerform process validations, in-process inspections, and monitor/analyze the quality of manufacturing processes and products.\nProvide support for design, manufacturing, and quality engineering functions for data collection, analysis, product review, and process capabilities.\nPerform containment activities prevent potential or additional quality defects.\nProvide formally documented FAI reports suitable for customer or internal use as required.\nDetermine and use appropriate measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensional and functional requirements.\nDevelop and maintain control charts for monitoring / improving performance.\nPerform product reviews and analysis to determine cause and/or disposition.\nProvide audit support in designated areas, assist with training to quality standards, and participate in lean activities.\nLead and/or assist in the calibration of inspection, test, and measurement equipment.\nYOU HAVE:\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. Bachelor’s in engineering preferred.\n1 years’ experience in the quality process and experience with Quality Management Systems preferred.\n1 year experience using precision metal fabrication measurement tools and techniques preferred.\nExperience and understanding of charting and process control methods preferred.\nAbility to interpret order requirements, quotes, drawings, and draw conclusions.\nAbility to use precision measuring equipment (e.g., Calipers, micrometer, paint mil gauges, hardness tester, CMM, measuring tables, optical comparators, functional testers, etc.).\nSkill in identifying root causes of routine problems/issues and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution.\nAbility to effectively organize, plan workload, and work in a self-directed manner.\nAbility to utilize good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people across multiple functional areas within the company.\nAbility to interpret and apply Quality System / ISO procedures and documentation.\nSkills to quickly learn and operate a wide variety of test and measurement equipment.\nSkills in attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to apply appropriate math and geometry.\nSkill in using personal computers including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to stand and walk frequently.\nAbility to work primarily indoors where there is frequent noise of 85 dB and occasional exposure to chemical hazards (solvents).\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
