Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\nFollow all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to the Production Supervisor/Team Leader or appropriate resource.\nMaintain a clean, safe and organized work area.\nNotify Production Supervisor/Team Leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.\nReceive, stock, pick, issue and deliver materials within performance guidelines to assure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.\nPerform routine duties such as pulling orders, cleaning assigned rows \nFollow department instructions, making sure orders are pulled to the shipping dock or small parcel packing area.\nOperate forklift truck and notify team lead of issues.\nMaintain equipment including safety checks.\nMaintain a supply of materials necessary to complete the operation.\nMeet established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.\nEnsure that products meet nVent’s quality specifications.\nExpected to conduct cycle counts on warehouse inventory on a regular basis.\nParticipate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.\nReading picking lists and selecting the correct items from warehouse inventory. Involves preparing secure containers, pallets, or boxes for packing large volumes of goods and applying the proper labels. May use the stretch wrapping machine. Expected to inspect items for possible damage before packing them.\nMay be required to perform additional duties as assigned.\nYOU HAVE:\nAcademic Background\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nMinimum 3 years warehouse work experience preferred.\nSkills: \nKnowledge of all material flow processes\nKnowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.\nSkill in analytical thinking and problem solving\nSkill in communicating optimally through oral and written communications\nAbility to adapt to constantly evolving business circumstance and the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.\nAbility to operate equipment necessary to loading and warehouse processes. i.e. PIT, sit down counter balance fork truck, reach truck, power pallet jack, order picker\nAbility to function in a high stress, high pressure environment, with a positive attitude.\nPhysical and Environmental Abilities:\nBend, squat down, and reach above your head\nLift and carry up to 50 pounds\nWE HAVE:\nA dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day\nnVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions.
