Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.\nWHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:\n.Review prints and confer with the Lead person to determine job requirements.\nGather necessary materials and lay out parts according to specifications.\nSet up the welding machine and adjust settings for the job.\nPosition, clamp, and/or tack weld parts as needed before beginning the welding process.\nOperate a welding gun to join steel, aluminum, or copper pieces.\nVisually inspect welds for compliance with quality standards. Re-weld defective joints and remove excess slag, flux, and spatter using a brush, pad, buffer, and/or grinder.\nOperate a cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.\nApply the weld stencil and notify the Lead person or Inspector when the product is ready for inspection.\nPerform ongoing housekeeping to keep the work area free of scrap and debris.\nWill use MIG welding machine, cutting torch, manual plasma cutter, brush, pad, buffer, grinder, overhead crane, ratchet straps, rubber hammer, stencil, and tape measure.\nYOU HAVE:\nAble to read tape measure and prints. Able to properly operate welding equipment and produce quality welds.\nAt least 1 year of welding experience or training. High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred but not required.\nAble to read and comprehend simple or somewhat complex instructions. Able to write notes or simple correspondence. Able to effectively communicate information to coworkers.\nAble to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers as well as decimals/fractions. Able to calculate and interpret common tape measurements.\nAble to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple-step instructions of moderate complexity.
