Join us and become part of a team that values inclusion, collaboration, and flawless execution!\nWhat will you experience in this position:\nAcquire the specified electrode and insert it into a portable holder or thread consumable electrode wire through a portable welding gun.\nConnect cables from the welding unit to achieve specified amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as per the welding machine operations manual.\nStart the power supply to produce an electric current.\nStrike (form) arcs that generate heat to melt and deposit metal from the electrode to the workpiece, joining edges flawlessly.\nManually guide the electrode or gun along the weld line. Maintain arc length and speed to form the specified depth of fusion and bead. Judge this by metal color, weld sound, and molten puddle size.\nWeld primarily in a flat position, while learning horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions, working mainly with lighter metal thicknesses.\nExamine welds for bead size and other specifications.\nClean or degrease weld joints or workpieces.\nChip off excess weld, slag, and spatter.\nAssist in positioning and clamping workpieces together in jigs or fixtures.\nTack assemblies together.\nSafely operate welding equipment such as handheld plasma cutters, torches, and grinders. Receive forklift operation certification.\nHandle materials using light-duty jib cranes.\nBuild a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product, focuses on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.\nYou have:\nOne year certificate from college or technical school, or six months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nSchedule:\n6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday thru Thursday.
