Advanced Software Development Engineer

The NVIDIA Networking Advanced Development Software team develops innovative software solutions that help shape future NVIDIA products, create new market opportunities, and strengthen strategic customer relationships. Through rapid prototyping and proof-of-concepts (POCs), we evaluate emerging technologies and transform innovative ideas into validated solutions.

Our projects are driven by where technology is heading-not by a single domain. While our current work focuses on AI infrastructure, distributed computing, and modern data centers, our mission is to tackle the technologies that will matter next. We investigate, prototype, and deliver solutions across a broad spectrum of areas, including HPC, cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, virtualization, and more.

Our engineers work across the entire software stack-from user-space applications and middleware to Linux kernel networking, device drivers, firmware, and GPU programming. Together with teams across NVIDIA, strategic customers, industry partners, and the open-source community, we turn ambitious ideas into practical technologies with real-world impact.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and implement solutions throughout all layers from high level application, OS and driver subsystem to firmware
• Work on impactful projects involving state-of-the-art high-performance computing hardware and software
• Provide insight and technical guidance and collaborate with peers from across the company - including software architecture, chip architecture, and engineering departments to improve our future technology
• Collaborate with NVIDIA partners and customers

What we need to see:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 2+ overall years of industry experience
• Understanding of multi-core hardware, operating systems design, concurrency, virtual memory, caching, interrupts, device drivers, real-time
• Excellent programming skills
• Ability to learn complex concepts in a fast pace environment.
• A teammate with a can-do attitude, high energy and excellent interpersonal skills

Ways to stand out from a crowd:

• Familiarity with networking protocols
• Familiarity with RDMA
• Experience with open-source projects (coursework, personal, or contributions)
• Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
