Our team is responsible for constructing and emitting the highest performance GPU machine instructions for Graphics (OpenGL, Vulkan, DX) and Compute (CUDA, PTX, OpenCL, Fortran, C++). This team is comprised of worldwide leading compiler engineering experts who provide cutting edge performance and capabilities for NVIDIA's current and future complex parallel SIMT architectures.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nYou will be investigating and developing solutions to important and challenging problems within the NVIDIA Compiler Back End - consistent with your compiler experience and knowledge.\nWork directly with a mentor and operate as part of the larger OCG team.\nWork with global compiler, hardware and application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutions\nBe part of a team that is at the center of deep-learning compiler technology spanning architecture design and support through functional languages\nWhat we need to see:\nCurrently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field\nSuccessful completion of an undergraduate Compiler Design class.\nStrong writing and oral skills, as well as an ability to follow best practices for Software Engineering.\nYou possess strong coding skills with C++\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\nYou have a graduate degree in a related field.\nYou wish to specialize in Compiler Design and Construction, and have pursued graduate coursework in these areas.\nHands-on experience with backend compiler design and code generation.\nExperience with in any of the following areas is a plus: GPU and parallel architectures; CUDA and/or PTX; IR Compression.\nExperience or strong interest register allocation or instruction scheduling.\nWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
