We are seeking a dynamic Manager of DSX Software Engineering & Controls to head our DSX Software and Controls teams in Santa Clara, CA. This outstanding role allows you to build the future of AI factories by developing software and OT control systems to drive efficiency and operational intelligence. You will collaborate with skilled engineering teams, infrastructure partners, and customers to deliver coordinated, production-ready capabilities that drive our ambitious AI factory initiatives.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nLeading both the DSX Software and DSX Controls and Monitoring groups, you will recruit and develop engineers, technical leads, and managers.\nDirecting the architecture and delivery of services, APIs, integration frameworks, automation, and tools that connect DSX components and support deployments and lifecycle management.\nGuiding the development of telemetry collection, equipment interfaces, operational dashboards, alarms, and control capabilities, across compute, electrical, and cooling infrastructure.\nCollaborating closely with DSX operations teams to ensure operational feedback is incorporated into future builds.\nWorking with critical P0 partners to align product roadmaps and standardize IT and OT data sets, improving operations and efficiency.\nEstablishing release readiness through simulation, integration testing, and hardware validation.\nWhat we need to see:\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years managing engineering teams.\nDemonstrated experience managing multiple technical workstreams and mentoring senior engineers, technical leads, or engineering managers.\nStrong architecture background in distributed services, infrastructure software, telemetry platforms, or industrial automation.\nExperience delivering software that integrates with physical infrastructure and an understanding of timing, reliability, and failure handling.\nAbility to evaluate system builds and review production code in languages such as Python, Go, or C++.\nDemonstrated success delivering complex systems through collaboration across software, hardware, operations, and external partners.\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\nExperience with data center electrical infrastructure, liquid cooling, building management systems, or supervisory controls.\nFamiliarity with equipment and telemetry interfaces such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, or Redfish.\nExperience with Kubernetes, time-series data systems, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry or equivalent experience.\nBackground in digital twins, simulation, commissioning, or hardware-in-the-loop validation.\nA record of turning partner-specific integrations into reusable software products and deployment patterns.\nJoin us at NVIDIA and lead our dedicated teams to successfully implement groundbreaking solutions in AI factories!\nYour base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
