For over a decade, NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform has revolutionized HPC and AI with applications ranging from COVID-19 research to autonomous machines. Our team develops the GPU-accelerated mathematical libraries that make all of this possible.\nThe hardware and software accelerated computing ecosystem is constantly evolving, including shifts towards hybrid backends, deep integration with high-level languages and ecosystems (such as Python, Numpy, JAX, MLIR…), and optimization at runtime for maximum flexibility and performance. Our Dx APIs allow developers to embed highly-optimized mathematical operations in their applications for these and other scenarios. You will be part of a team designing, developing, and optimizing math libraries for the future. Does the idea of being at the heart of these projects and applying your knowledge to develop and optimize algorithms which make an impact around world excite you? If yes, then come and join our team! During your internship, you will work with senior software engineers on the libraries team who will provide mentorship and guide you in developing highly optimized algorithms. Projects will involve implementing new numerical algorithms, defining APIs, analyzing performance, performance optimizations on the latest NVIDIA GPUs, improving libraries customer experience in employing agentic workflows and AI tools for their development and other general software engineering work.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nPrototype and develop numerical algorithms for high-performance math device extension libraries: cuBLASDx, cuSolverDx, cuFFTDx, cuRANDDx, nvCOMPDx, NPPDx or libmathdx on ground breaking NVIDIA graphics processors.\nAnalyze the performance of GPU implementations and find opportunities for improvements\nCollaborate with team members to understand software use cases and requirements\nPrototype tooling and solutions to help transform math libraries’ APIs into LLM-friendly representations across popular codegen tools.\nWhat we need to see:\nPursuing a MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or related field\nStrong C++ programming, debugging, performance analysis, and test building skills\nParallel or GPU programming experience using CUDA, OpenMP, OpenCL, SYCL or similar\nExperience with linear algebra or FFT or data compression algorithms\nCollaboration, communication, and documentation habits.\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\nUnderstanding of composability and fusions, compilers, implementation of programming languages\nKnowledge of GPU and network hardware architecture\nFamiliarity with Python and recent CUDA developments like cuTile and CUDA Tile C++\nPrior work in AI-assisted software development, knowledge of LLMs, MCP, and building RAGs or agenting tooling\nExposure to numerical methods, floating-point arithmetic and numerical error analysis\nWe have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you're creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you! We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.\nWidely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. As you plan your future, see what we can offer to you and your family www.nvidiabenefits.com/\nOur internship pay is based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. For Poland: the annual range for our interns is 117,750 PLN - 204,100 PLN. (pro-rated for the duration of the internship).","description_format":"text","description_chars":3872,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"master","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Processors, MCUs & AI Chips","Servers & Data Center Hardware","Computer Components","AI Chips & Accelerators"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-27T13:24:21Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":38,"reasons":["conf:6","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-31T05:58:55Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/nvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/nvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-31T16:20:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":25524,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-01T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":6},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=6"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fnvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fnvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fnvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/nvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fnvidia-math-device-extension-libraries-intern-2027"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3334951}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"nvidia.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3334951},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
