The Firmware team develops innovative networking features for cloud, HPC and storage. We drive the data growth of the world’s biggest companies. With many dedicated engineers around the globe, the work environment is multifaceted, significant and fast paced.\nWhat you will be doing:\nWork closely with the architecture and different software design teams.\n\nImplement new features in the core of Mellanox NIC firmware.\n\nDevelop verification tests for advanced features in a highly complex and sophisticated Firmware testing environment.\n\nGain a deep understanding of system debug, networking technology and stacks, as well as the HW/FW/SW relationship.\n\nYou will learn how a big software project is operated, maintained, qualified and released, and how Hardware and Firmware are developed.\n\nWhat we need to see:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the field.\n\n5+ years of professional software development experience.\n\nStrong proficiency in C and C++.\n\nSolid understanding of networking protocols.\n\nExperience with PCIe and virtualization technologies.\n\nExcellent grasp of data structures and algorithms fundamentals.\n\nScripting experience with Python and/or Bash.\n\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.\n\nSelf-motivated, independent, and a great teammate with excellent interpersonal skills.\n\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\nDeep familiarity with RDMA stacks (RoCE, InfiniBand) and low-latency networking.\n\nExperience in high-performance or large-scale compute environments.\n\nProven experience with distributed systems and scalability challenges.\n\nWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
