As a technical leader in the S. East Asia region, you will implement and enforce NVIDIA’s quality and reliability standards and ensure supplier performance to these standards throughout the Product Life Cycle. You will be responsible for SMTA operational readiness and ensure suppliers meet all quality and business KPI’s.\nWe design and produce advanced technology PCBA’s used in consumer, auto and enterprise solutions. Your technical and industry expertise will contribute to our ongoing success. Reporting to SMTA Operations Senior Management, you will be based in Vietnam to manage NVIDIA’s local and regional EMS supply SMT process related activities and quality levels.\nWhat you will be doing:\nWork with suppliers to baseline and enhance SMT processes to significantly improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.\n\nEstablish and enforce Critical to Quality process control monitors and determine supplier’s manufacturing limits, critical process CpKs, and to drive significant improvements in product Quality and Reliability.\n\nReview New Product Designs and partner with CM’s to perform DFx and process characterization, during the development phase, to ensure Mass Production launch readiness. Provided feedback to NVIDIA design to optimize PCBA DFx.\n\nMonitor SMT process data KPI’s on NPI and Mass Production builds. Drive suppliers to corrective action and meet established six sigma quality goals.\n\nPlan and execute advanced Research and Development programs and DOE’s as required to achieve and exceed product performance and customer Reliability requirements.\n\nWork with Contract Manufacturers and ODMs so that new materials and technologies are utilized and implemented effectively, and review and help improve manufacturing practices and processes at the assembly and system levels such that ensure significant improvements in Quality and Reliability are achieved.\n\n What we need to see:\nBS/MS or equivalent experience in Materials Sciences or Chemistry\n\n5+ years in the development and use of PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes at the board assembly and system levels.\n\nExtensive expertise in all PCBA Technologies and Manufacturing with a strong background in Quality and Supplier Management.\n\nProven expertise with complex PCB assemblies, materials, and Signal Integrity challenges with high speed (25 GBPS+) signal designs.\n\nAutomotive, Aerospace, and/or Military PCBA/SMT and related Material Technologies experience a plus.\n\nThe ability to effectively work and communicate with various Hardware/Signal Integrity and Reliability Engineering Teams both domestic and offshore, and the ability to establish very close and respected relationships with these Teams.\n\nThe ability to be a self-driver with minimal supervision and excellent English and Mandarin oral/written communications skills.\n\nWillingness and ability to travel within the Asia region\n\n Ways to stand out from the crowd\nIn-depth knowledge of industry specifications and requirements\n\nStrong problem solving and conflict resolution and influencing skills\n\nHands-on and management experience with SMTA processes in a manufacturing environment\n\nWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the most desirable employers in the world.
