Your primary focus will be adapting NVIDIA software to vehicle platforms, diagnosing system-level issues and validating active safety functions and intervention logic (e.g., AEB. AES. ,,,) behavior in development and production vehicles. You will work across perception, fusion, planning, and vehicle integration to trace problems through the full software chain, identify root causes, implement or coordinate appropriate solutions, and turn findings into actionable input for NVIDIA engineering teams.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nIntegrate and adapt NVIDIA DRIVE Active Safety software on customer development and production vehicles.\nTriage and analyze issues across the active safety chain, from sensor input through perception and fusion to maneuver behavior.\nCollaborate with customer teams and NVIDIA engineering teams across Europe, the US, APAC, and India to identify root causes, deliver program-level solutions, and drive longer-term product corrections.\nConfigure and tune active safety software for different vehicle platforms, sensor configurations, vehicle geometries and braking performance.\nImplement targeted C++ or Python adaptations, debugging tools, and analysis workflows where needed to resolve customer integration and functional issues.\nMeasure functional performance through recorded-data replay and in-vehicle testing, and communicate findings clearly to customers and NVIDIA engineering teams.\nWork on vehicle bring-up, software flashing, data logging, testing and functional validation.\nWhat we need to see:\nStrong background in ADAS development and triage, with at least 8+ years of experience including in-vehicle activities.\nSolid understanding of Active Safety functions from concept to validation, including hazard mitigation and functional safety principles.\nProven experience designing and implementing threat assessment algorithms, including time-to-collision (TTC). Hands-on development of longitudinal and lateral intervention planners - translating threat assessments into smooth, physically feasible braking and steering commands.\nStrong understanding of radar and camera perception outputs - including object confidence, classification uncertainty.\nProficiency in Linux and/or QNX-based embedded environments.\nDemonstrated ability to systematically isolate issues using log analysis, data review, and cross-functional technical coordination.\nBS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).\nExcellent communication skills - able to explain technical findings clearly and concisely across engineering teams.\nValid driver’s license and readiness for road testing and travel.\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\nExperience with active safety software, or closely related perception, fusion or planning and controller work. Production experience with camera- and radar-based active safety systems.\nExperience integrating ADAS software into customer vehicle platforms and supporting automotive series programs. Experience with commercial vehicles (heavy vans, trucks, or buses) and familiarity with commercial-vehicle-specific active safety regulations.\nDeep understanding of Euro NCAP protocols, including scoring optimization for \"Safe Driving\" and \"Crash Avoidance\" stages (e.g., VRU protection, junction scenarios, and DSM requirements). \nExperience with data-driven development loops, including fleet-data triage, corner-case analysis and feedback to model-training teams.\nHands-on experience with AI/ML workflows and deep neural network development or integration - e.g., in perception tasks such as object detection, segmentation, or depth estimation\nNVIDIA offers competitive compensation and world-class benefits.
