Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nThe NVIDIA Vera Superchips are the foundation for the next generation of AI and HPC platforms. Your role as a Base OS Engineer is to enable Vera within Linux distros such as Ubuntu, RedHat and SLES, and to support both internal validation teams of Vera MGX systems.\n\nWork closely with external partners and customers to enable their preferred kernels and distros on MGX platforms!\n\nPartner with Hardware and Firmware development teams to bring up new NVIDIA platforms, from power on to OS boot.\n\nWhat we need to see:\nBS or Masters in computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.\n\nExcellent C and Python programming skills. Expertise in coding is crucial to your success in this role.\n\nFamiliarity with at least one major Linux distro (Ubuntu, RedHat, SLES) is required.\n\nKnowledge of OS concepts such as filesystems, job scheduling, device drivers, and storage, is required.\n\nExcellent communication and planning skills.\n\nWays to stand out from the crowd:\nKnowledge of virtualization concepts such as device passthrough and SR-IOV is desired.\n\nBackground in PCIe, USB, and similar low level protocols is recommended.\n\nExperience with UEFI and BMC firmware is strongly favored.\n\nHaving written software in GitHub with exposure to the opensource development life cycle is desired.\n\nExperience with complex system-level debugging is invaluable.\n\nNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
