NWACC offers a full range of associate degrees, certificates and workforce training programs that prepare students for rewarding futures and careers.\nNWACC employees are dedicated to fostering a diverse educational community and cultural learning environment that supports student success.\nThe Full-Time Faculty member in Psychology teaches courses such as General Psychology, Human Growth and Development, and others as needed in traditional, online, and hybrid formats.Start date is anticipated for January 4th; an August 2nd start may also be considered.\nEssential Duties:\nInstruction (15 credit hours per semester):\nTeach psychology courses using established course outlines across multiple delivery formats\n\nDevelop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments\n\nEvaluate student performance and maintain accurate records in compliance with FERPA\n\nHold 10 on-campus office hours per week and maintain regular communication with students\n\nParticipate in program assessment, curriculum development, and textbook selection\n\nAttend and fulfill all scheduled classes, meetings, and academic responsibilities\n\nMaintain an on-campus presence averaging 32 hours per week\n\nProfessional Development:\nMaintain current knowledge in psychology through ongoing professional development and continuing education, including required certifications\n\nService to the College:\nAdvise and support students in achieving academic goals\n\nServe on committees, advisory boards, and participate in campus governance\n\nAttend required meetings, ceremonies, and professional events\n\nMentor new faculty and contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives\n\nPosition may require evening and weekend hours\n\nAdditional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college\n\nRate of pay: determined by faculty scale placement (education and years of experience) *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position\nCompleted applications received by 9/30/2026 will be assured full consideration.
