No two days are the same, and you will have unique opportunities to use your expertise in both fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance to improve plant availability.\nAt Northumbrian Water Group we have a diverse range of equipment allowing us to offer a unique prospect to specialise in areas such as PLC’s, telemetry, level control and variable speed drives.\nYou will be a fully mobile worker and will be provided with a van, starting and finishing your working day from home. All tools and equipment are provided supporting Technicians to minimise plant down time.\nThe role requires participation in an out of hour’s standby rota. We will ensure that you have the relevant training and experience required to do this. With our committed leadership and close-knit teams, you will never be short of support in your role.\nAbout you\nYou will be a time served Electrical Technician educated to at least ONC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. You will have a maintenance background in reactive breakdowns and planned work, and you will manage your time efficiently with minimal supervision. You will be experienced in reading and finding faults from electrical drawings, identifying the source and replacing faulty components.\nWe are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude, willingness to learn and explore new ways of working. A hands-on practical approach and keen eye for identifying the route cause whilst investigating problems and implementing solutions is essential in this role.\nYou’ll have excellent communication skills and be a team player. A strong Health and Safety ethic is an important part of our Everybody Home Safe Everyday culture.\nA full, UK manual driving license is essential for this role.\nPlease note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment.\nThis is a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.\nProspective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course.
