This role focuses on designing, developing, and managing integrations between various software systems using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The Integration Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability, contributing to the overall efficiency and scalability of our technology stack. The focus of integrations is to enable the delivery of complex IT managed and operations services within our Experience Management Platform (\"EMP\"). The API Integration Engineer will work with product management, software development, IT systems, customer success, and data analytics teams to integrate disparate systems that provide solution outcomes for clients and delivery outcomes for service delivery engineering teams.Work closely with Offering Architects, Product Management, Developers, Customer Success, and IT systems teams.\nDesign, develop, and maintain API integrations between internal systems, third-party platforms, and client applications.\nCollaborate with development teams to build custom APIs that meet business requirements.\nImplement and optimize API endpoints for performance, scalability, and security.\nWork closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications for APIs and integration workflows.\nConduct thorough testing of APIs and integration solutions to ensure reliability and functionality.\nIdentify and resolve issues related to API performance, data inconsistencies, or integration failures.\nCreate and maintain detailed documentation for APIs, integration processes, and workflows.\nProvide clear usage guidelines for developers and other stakeholders.\nImplement API security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.\nEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.\nMonitor API performance and usage to identify bottlenecks or opportunities for optimization.\nSelect and configure tools, platforms, and technologies that optimize performance, cost, and maintainability\nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, solve complex challenges, and deliver solutions that empower customer delivery.\nHelp ensure tools and systems integrate seamlessly with existing IT systems, service delivery processes, and standards.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nComplies with all policies and standards.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience\nExperience designing, developing, and maintaining API integrations between internal systems, third-party platforms, and client applications\nExperience translating business needs into technical specifications for APIs and integration workflows\nExperience identifying and resolving API performance issues, data inconsistencies, or integration failures\nExperience creating and maintaining API documentation, integration processes, workflows, and usage guidelines.\nHands-on experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs.\nFamiliarity with integration tools and platforms such as Mulesoft, Apigee, Zapier, and Postman.\nProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.\nKnowledge of API design principles, including JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.\nExperience with API authentication methods such as OAuth and API keys.\nFamiliarity with database systems, including SQL/NoSQL, and data transformation techniques.\nExperience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nFamiliarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.\nAbility to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and solve complex integration challenges\nDemonstrated comfort with adopting emerging AI tools and technologies to optimize processes, improve collaboration, and drive operational effectiveness.\nCertification in API development or integration platforms, such as Mulesoft Certified Developer Preferred\nRemote: Job duties are performed from the employee’s home home or another approved remote location.
