This role provides global exposure and the opportunity to contribute to IT audits and other types of engagements across a wide range of systems, technologies, and business functions. You will work closely with stakeholders to strengthen IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and operational resilience,while also supporting emerging areas such as AI and digital innovation. This role is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.\nKey responsibilities\nIT Audit execution\nSupport risk-based audits across global systems, applications, cloud and infrastructure environments.\nContribute to end-to-end audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, testing, and documentation. Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls across global Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) processes.\nPrepare clear, concise and high-quality audit documentation and draft reports aligned with global standards. \nSupport the communication of audit findings through written reports and discussions with relevant stakeholders. \nTrack and follow up on implementation of corrective actions to ensure timely and consistent remediation.\n\nAdvisory & other engagements\nAnalyze data and processes to identify IT / IS risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities. \nCollaborate with IT and business teams to enhance processes, internal (system) controls, data integrity and operational efficiency.\nLead and facilitate walkthroughs, risk assessments, and control design discussions, ensuring accurate and complete documentation (e.g., RCMs, narratives, flowcharts).\nSupport IT advisory activities, including system implementations, digital transformation initiatives and process automation.\nParticipate in AI-related and advanced analytics engagements, including assessing governance, risks, and controls over AI models, data usage, and automation.\nContribute to cross-functional (non-IT) projects, providing a broader business perspective.\nDrive internal audit improvements\nIdentify opportunities to enhance audit quality, efficiency, and consistency.\nContribute to innovation initiatives including the use of data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies (incl. AI) to strengthen the Internal Audit function.\nSupport the development of modern IT audit methodologies, particularly for emerging technologies and digital processes.\nYour Profile\nBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Internal Audit, Accounting, or related discipline.\n3-5 years of relevant experience in IT Audit, Internal Audit, IT Risk, or similar roles.\nExperience in a Big 4 or IT audit/consulting environment is a plus.\nProfessional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CEH or relevant IT certifications are preferred.\nYour main qualities and skills are:\nUnderstanding of IT control frameworks (COBIT, NIST etc.) and internal control principles.\nKnowledge of IT general controls, cybersecurity, cloud and system risks.\nInterest in emerging technologies, including AI, data analytics, and automation, with a willingness to develop expertise in these areas.\nStrong analytical skills and ability to translate technical risks into clear, actionable insights.\nEffective communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a
