This position provides hands-on experience supporting project planning, execution, and reporting while working alongside project managers, facilities engineers, operations teams, and other site stakeholders.\nThe selected candidate will gain exposure to engineering project management within a high-tech manufacturing environment and will own a defined project or improvement initiative throughout the internship, culminating in a final presentation to site leadership.\nWhat You Will Do\nSupport project planning, execution, and closeout activities, including scope development, scheduling, documentation, and status reporting.\nAssist in coordinating project activities across Facilities, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and other site organizations.\nParticipate in project meetings, track action items, and help drive deliverables to completion.\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, trackers, dashboards, and reports to communicate project status and key performance indicators.\nReview project documentation, engineering packages, and technical data for completeness and accuracy.\nAssist with project risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution activities.\nSupport field walkdowns, design reviews, and project execution activities within an active semiconductor manufacturing environment.\nHelp prepare presentations and project updates for engineering teams and site leadership.\nGain exposure to capital projects, facilities infrastructure, utility systems, reliability initiatives, and site capacity improvements.\nOwn a defined project or improvement initiative and present project results and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.\nFollow all site safety, environmental, and quality requirements.\nWhat You Will Learn\nEngineering project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management.\nSemiconductor manufacturing and facilities operations.\nCapital project execution within a high-tech manufacturing environment.\nCross-functional collaboration and leadership communication.\nProject reporting, data analysis, and executive presentation development.\nEngineering problem-solving in a fast-paced operational environment.\nMinimum Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:Mechanical Engineering\nElectrical Engineering\nChemical Engineering\nIndustrial Engineering\nConstruction Management\nEngineering Management\nOr a related technical discipline\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively within cross-functional teams.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to work on-site in Chandler, Arizona.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious internship, co-op, leadership, or project experience.\nFamiliarity with project management principles or methodologies.\nExperience using Power BI, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar reporting and scheduling tools.\nInterest in semiconductor manufacturing, facilities engineering, construction, infrastructure, or capital project management.\nExperience analyzing and presenting data to technical or non-technical audiences.\nMore information about NXP in the United States...\nNXP is an Equal Opportunity/AffirmativeAction Employer regardless of age, color, national origin, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital status, status as a disabled veteran and/or veteran of the Vietnam Era or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
