You will be expected to work very closely with other IT teams and R&D designers to develop solutions or resolve any open issue. This team has operational responsibility for all designated services within the region and will provide backup support to our other two regions when necessary to ensure good coverage and fast response for any issues requiring attention. The HPC SME reports to the Product Owner of the HPC team for their region.\nAs a HPC Senior Engineer, you will be held responsible for supporting and using complex and advanced technologies in the R&D IT Solutions domain of NXP Semiconductors. You work in close cooperation with product owners, application groups and engineering teams to ensure that their requirements are met, and our services perform as designed. You will be expected to contribute to architectural solutions and help drive innovation as part of the HPC team.\nYour responsibilities:\nDevelop automation for maintenance and operation of the High-Performance Computing environment\nImprove and maintain software, middleware, used in HPC (Python, Shell scripts)\nProvide support for an enterprise High Performance Computing environment\nInstall, test, and configure HPC clusters/servers and software\nAnalyze workload, optimize clusters for performance and throughput in alignment with stakeholders\nResolve operational problems quickly and effectively\nMaintain global HPC clusters and provide support to end users.\nCoordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve hardware and software problems\nDocumenting routine and complex tasks\nMaintaining and monitoring the security of the HPC systems and servers\nImproving existing HPC utilities/tools and implementing new tools.\nSolves moderately complex problems and tasks independently\nWork in a global and international team\nKnowledge of NUCs and RPI to support lab infrastructure physically in office premises. \nWhat you bring\nWe are looking for a candidate reflecting the following profile:\nAmbitious and outgoing personality who enjoys a fast-paced technology environment\nDegree in Computer Science, Information technology, Industrial Engineering or similar\nProven experience as technology expert in a complex, security driven and technologically diversified environment, preferably in the high-tech arena\nStrong motivation to apply and promote End-to-End thinking\nProven track of analysing, structuring, and simplifying complex landscapes with multiple technology layers\nWorking experience in environments where users are savvy in (Information) Technology\n5 to 7 years of IT experience designing and implementing IT solutions in a multi-national environment\nBusiness English is a must\nRequired Skills and Experience\nDevOps Engineer having good experience of developing tools for IT Infra automation.\nStrong command in Python, salt, shell scripting, Ansible (experience of writing code for Linux environment)\nExperience of Cloud Technology (such as Amazon).\nSoftware and automation, including writing documentation, specifications\nCreate automated tests\nMindset to drive automation\nLinux Administration\nKnowledge of Git/GitLab/GitLab or other version control systems, develop CI/CD pipelines\nGood Verbal/Written communication skills to interact with Global Users in English\nKnowledge of Agile Scrum and ITIL
