The ideal candidate combines expertise in AI/ML model development, software implementation, and performance optimization with a passion for transforming cutting-edge research into efficient embedded solutions that deliver exceptional audio experiences in our future systems.\nTechnical Skills\nThe candidate should possess the following technical competencies:\nStrong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Network architectures, with the ability to evaluate, adapt, and optimize models for embedded audio systems.\n\nExperience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent toolchains.\n\nSolid background in audio signal processing, including audio filtering, noise reduction, echo cancellation, speech enhancement, beamforming, and acoustic analysis.\n\nKnowledge of embedded AI deployment, including model optimization, quantization, memory footprint reduction, and performance tuning on resource-constrained hardware.\n\nProficiency in software development using C/C++ and Python, with experience in algorithm implementation and validation.\n\nExperience in developing and integrating AI-based audio processing solutions.\n\nUnderstanding of digital signal processor (DSP) and Neural Processing Unit (NPU) fundamentals and their interaction with AI/ML-based approaches.\n\nFamiliarity with performance measurement and optimization, including latency, throughput, memory usage, and power consumption considerations.\n\nAbility to analyze system-level requirements and translate them into efficient software implementations for automotive and robotics embedded platforms.\n\nKnowledge of industrial development processes and standards, like IATF16949 and ISO26262, is considered a plus.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMSc or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, or a related field.\n\nA minimum of 3years of experience in development automotive or robotics audio systems, audio processing pipelines, or edge AI applications.\n\nFamiliarity with heterogeneous computing architectures, NPUs, DSPs, and dedicated AI accelerators.\n\nInterested in joining our team?\nYou will be working alongside NXP’s Automotive Infotainment Development team in Dresden.
