What you do matters!\nPacking/Delivering blood products to the Delmarva region including: DE, MD, VA, PA, NJ, & NY\n***Full Benefits***\nSchedule: Night Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am\nTheHospital Services Coordinator/Logistics Driver is responsible for component labeling, inventory management, and order fulfillment in order to serve area hospitals. This position is also responsible for the safe, reliable, and timely packing, handling, transport, delivery and return of blood products, patient samples, and supplies between BBD locations and customers. This position is considered “essential” during severe weather or emergency operation events.\nPacks blood and blood components in accordance with procedural guidelines and complies with AABB, FDA and state and local regulations.\nMonitors incoming orders placed by hospitals using web-based inventory ordering software.\nAssists with inventory management by rotating blood and blood product inventory to assure optimum shelf life and usage. Manages short dated products to designated hospitals to minimize product outdating. Ensures expired products are removed from inventory and discarded with applicable process and final disposition code.\nInterfaces with hospital personnel and provides customer service satisfaction 100% of the time.\nWorks with Hospital Services staff to coordinate delivery of blood products, samples and supplies.\nPerforms assignment of deliveries and drivers through OnFleet\nResponsible for Central Receiving of all unprocessed blood, blood products, and supplies coming into the Christiana Center\nWhen called upon also performs the duties of the Logistics Driver.\nDelivers blood products and associated paperwork to depots and customer locations from BBD’s main center at our Christiana location. Ensures safe handling and delivery of blood products in a compliant and timely manner.\nPacks blood products at depots or customer locations to be returned to Christiana. Ensures safe return of blood products in a compliant and timely manner. Occasionally may be required to pick up specimens from hospital customers for delivery to BBD.\nPerforms unprocessed blood and sample pickups for transport between BBD locations. \nHandles packages and materials in a compliant and safe manner. Drives vehicle(s) in manner compliant with all local, state and federal laws to ensure safe delivery of blood products, sample tubes, mail and supplies between BBD locations and customers.\nPerforms fueling and general upkeep maintenance of delivery vehicles.\nCompletes the Vehicle Safety Checklist and identifies any issue with the BBD vehicle each time it is driven.\nRecords all product and sample transport activities in Bloodhub in real time.\nExemplifies BBD’s Core Values and meets or exceeds customer’s service expectations.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nMust have valid Driver's License and clean driving record.\n2 years of fulfillment, driving, and delivery experience in a role that required face to face customer interaction.\nKnowledge of the Delmarva region.\nWorking knowledge of computers and MS Word\nOverview\nFounded in 1954, Blood Bank of Delmarva (BBD) has served the Delmarva Peninsula for 70 years, delivering nearly 90,000 lifesaving blood products annually to 40+ hospitals, EMS and healthcare partners.
