By offering cutting-edge treatments, innovative research, and a patient-centered approach, we are redefining what’s possible in the fight against cancer and blood disorders.\nIf you want to be part of a growing organization committed to healing, hope, and advanced care, join us and help make a meaningful impact!\nJob Description:\nHealth Care Unit Coordinator\nLocation: Staten Island, NY\nHours: 5/ 8.5 hr shifts M-F (7am - 7pm)\nOrganization: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)\nUnits: Infusion, Radiology, & Radiation Oncology\nIn This Role, You Will:\nCoordinate and schedule chemotherapy, radiology, and specialist referrals for assigned locations, ensuring all required records are obtained.\nCommunicate test instructions to patients, addressing questions or concerns before the procedure/test date.\nCollaborate with the Head Nurse to reschedule unscheduled chemotherapy and Shot Room appointments, verifying authorization before patient visits.\nArrange hospital services such as admissions and transfusions.\n Obtain stat results (pathology, labs, radiology, clinical records) for physicians and nurses.\n Handle specialty requisitions (e.g., Caris, BRCA, Foundation One).\nAssist Front Desk with support as needed\nAssist clinical staff by coordinating calls, including facilitating physician-to-physician communication.\nWe Require:\nHigh school diploma required;
