The Capital Program’s staff consists of design and construction professionals; administrative staff; and project support analysts who work together to provide physical infrastructure, facilities, and amenities. We work to strengthen the City’s competitive position through the implementation of a wide variety of municipal construction projects. \nA Senior Project Manager (SPM) in the Capital Program Department (CAP) will be responsible forthe implementation of adesign and constructionportfolio of 6-10active capital projects with a total project value of approximately $100 million+. \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \nServe as the primary point of contact for assigned contracts and projects throughout all phases of development. \nLead the procurement and coordination of architecture, engineering, construction, and other consultant teams. \nOversee project planning and predevelopment activities, including existing conditions assessments, programming, feasibility studies, cost estimating, and budgeting. \nManage the design process from schematic design through construction documentation, including coordination of required regulatory submissions and approvals. \nOversee bidding, construction, and project close-out activities, ensuring continuity and coordination across each project phase. \nManage multiple workstreams and deliverables, ensuring work is completed in accordance with established quality standards, expectations, and deadlines. \nExecute a risk-based management approach to project delivery which includes identifying, forecasting, and appropriately mitigatingproject risk. \nCoordinate project teams, providing direction and aligning team members toward established project goals and outcomes. \nMaintain and expand knowledge of relevant industry practices, trends, and developments in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning through ongoing professional development and continuing education. \nOther duties as assigned. \nQUALIFICATIONS : \nBachelor’s or equivalent degree required in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban planning, or related field \nPreferably working towards professional registration (PE, RA, RLA, AICP, CUD, CCM.
