Content Experience is responsible for the experience from the moment users log in until they press play: how people discover content, navigate the service and find something they actually want to watch.\nWe are now looking for a Sr Fullstack Engineer with a backend focus who wants to help develop the technical foundation behind those experiences.\nWhy this role matters\nContent Experience is the part of TV4 Play and MTV Katsomo that users interact with when looking for something to watch. A large and constantly changing catalogue of content needs to be easy to discover, navigate and choose from.\nBehind that experience are backend services and APIs that need to handle large volumes of content and traffic quickly and reliably. They also need to work seamlessly with other systems across our technical platform.\nWe build our new backend services in Go and continue to evolve the architecture behind Content Experience. You will work on technically complex problems where what you build has a clear and direct impact on the user experience.\nWhy you might want to join us\nYou enjoy complex technical problems, but also want to understand the product and the users behind them. You enjoy taking responsibility from problem and hypothesis through implementation, follow up and continued development.\nYou see AI as a natural part of modern software development and are curious about how new tools and ways of working are changing how good engineering is done.\nAbout the team\nContent Experience is a cross functional team where engineering works closely with product and design. We also collaborate with other engineering teams to connect our services with the rest of TV4's technical platform.\nThe team has significant technical ownership and is responsible for its solutions all the way to production.\nWhat you will do\nDesign, build and evolve backend services and APIs, with Go as the primary language for new development\n\nBuild technical solutions for discovery, navigation and content presentation\n\nIntegrate with services and platforms across TV4's technology organisation\n\nWork with distributed systems where performance, availability and scalability matter\n\nTake responsibility for what you build from implementation through production, observability and continued development\n\nWork across the stack when the problem requires it and contribute to our React and TypeScript based clients\n\nDrive technical initiatives and contribute to architecture and technology decisions\n\nUse AI tools as a natural part of the development process\n\nAbout you\nYou are an experienced fullstack engineer with a clear backend focus and mature engineering judgement. You can navigate complex systems, understand what actually needs to be solved and make well founded technical decisions even when the problem is not fully defined.\nYou care about why you are building something, not just how. You take responsibility for what you build all the way to production and are comfortable balancing system design, quality, reliability and long term sustainability.\nWe believe you:\nHave deep experience in backend development within modern production systems\n\nHave worked with APIs, integrations and distributed systems\n\nAre comfortable working in cloud based environments and with modern engineering practices\n\nHave a strong understanding of system design, performance, reliability and observability\n\nAre comfortable with frontend development and can work across the stack when the problem requires it\n\nCan move between the bigger picture and technical detail\n\nUnderstand that technical decisions involve tradeoffs and look for pragmatic solutions\n\nCommunicate clearly and work well in a cross functional product team\n\nUse AI tools as a natural part of your engineering work\n\nYou do not need to already be a Go specialist.
