This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of data and infrastructure. You'll build the pipelines that move clinical data into, through, and out of our autonomous coding engine, and the cloud systems that run it in production.\nWhat you'll do:\nBuild and maintain reliable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from healthcare systems at scale, across millions of charts a year.\nDesign, build, and operate our cloud infrastructure on AWS, managed as code.\nOwn data modeling, schema management, and database performance in close partnership with our DBA.\nImprove how our engineering teams ship: CI/CD, environments, observability, and internal tooling that make deployments safe and fast.\nTake an AI-first approach to engineering: use AI coding assistants and agents as a core part of your daily workflow, and look for opportunities to apply LLMs and agentic tooling to automate data and platform work.\nEnsure the security, reliability, and compliance of systems that handle sensitive patient data.\nWork with R&D, ML, and Product to turn requirements into scalable data and platform solutions.\nIf you enjoy writing real software to solve data and infrastructure problems, and you care about systems that are robust, observable, and well designed, we'd love to hear from you.\nRequirements\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time spent on backend, data, or platform work.\nStrong proficiency in Python.\nProven data engineering experience: building and operating batch or streaming pipelines, ETL/ELT, and workflow orchestration.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), including data modeling and query optimization.\nHands-on experience with AWS.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nHands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate development, and good judgment about where AI helps and where it needs human review.\nClear communication and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.\nExperience with working in a global, fast growing, dynamic and often ambiguous environment, across multiple time zones\nFluent English, written and spoken\nBonus:\nExperience with healthcare data standards and integrations (FHIR, HL7, EHR systems).\nEvent-driven architectures and messaging systems.\nObservability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana,
